Rezidor Plans Market Penetration Program in Ukraine

Brussels-headquartered Rezidor Hotel Group intends to open the second stage of its Ukrainian Radisson Resort Alushta Hotel in 2012, said Darren Blanchard, Senior Director at the Rezidor Hotel Group Moscow Office. The new building will have 137 rooms.

Earlier, the group announced plans to open two to three Radisson SAS Hotel in Kiev by 2012, one or two in Yalta, and one in Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Krivoy Rog, Lvov, Nikolaev, Odessa, Sevastopol and Kharkov.

It is also expected that by 2012, the hotel chain under the Park Inn brand will include facilities in several Ukrainian towns including Kiev (two or three), Kharkov (two).

In Ukraine, there are currently two existing four-star hotels, managed by Rezidor, i.e. the Radisson SAS Kiev (255 rooms) and the Radisson Resort Alushta (the first stage, 63 rooms).
